Marisa runs monthly "pop-up" choirs in four different venues around North East Victoria.

It all started with Empire Pub Choir and was borne of the relentless support and encouragement of Scott Daintry at the Empire Hotel Beechworth and the Empire's commitment to community connection. The team at the Empire have great vision for bringing community together and thankfully, after some cajoling, Marisa came around to the idea of facilitating it.

"Now it's one of the funnest things I do."

These events once month on Thursday evenings and anyone can come at any time. Marisa teaches a basic 3-part arrangement to a well known pub rock or pop song, it takes around an hour and a half and we all sing it together at the end. It's oodles of fun, there are no auditions, no skill required just an openness to experience the joy and freedom of singing.
